If you’re like me and love the fall season, then keep reading because this month’s blog post is perfect for fall and plant lovers! I was planning my own fall decor and thought, “What would be a good way to combine my love of houseplants and the upcoming season?” Of course, the answer was right in front of me. There are so many colorful houseplants that surely some of them will be perfect for an autumn color scheme.
Croton
My personal favorite in the list has to be the lovely croton, whose leaves have boast a pop of orange, pink, and yellow. Pair it with a wicker basket or galvanized bucket for that rustic feel. They are great houseplants that love bright areas so they can work as a table centerpiece in a bright dining room or a porch decoration.

Anthurium
Anthuriums are also great fall plants that come in red, green, pink, and white. Pair your anthurium with a rustic barrel planter or basket. These plants prefer bright, indirect light but can tolerate low light (they just won’t have as many blooms). Small anthuriums are perfect on your tv stand, coffee table, or north/south facing kitchen window.
Bromeliad Guzmania
Another colorful houseplant is the Bromeliad Guzmania with its yellow, orange, red, and pink blooms. Keep a singular plant in a rustic pot or combine a few in a hanging basket or tall bucket for a fuller look. They prefer medium light so can be kept on a partial shade patio or added to a desk for some of that fall spice

Prince of Orange
The Philodendron Prince of Orange is a great fall houseplant as well with its orange, yellow, and green leaves. Preferring bright, indirect light, the prince of orange can look great as a centerpiece in a bright room or on a bedside table with a window. Like guzmania, these can look really great placed in a large basket with 2 or 3 plants.
Succulent Planters
If you’re looking for a succulent decor, then these fall planter ideas are perfect. Add a touch of life to your Thanksgiving centerpiece with a succulent cornucopia. Succulents are a great plant to mix and match because of their small size and large variety. And adding dried moss around your succulent arrangement allows you to fill up the empty spaces in between each plant without it becoming too busy. Another succulent trick is to use plastic or foam pumpkins and cut out the top, creating your own DIY pumpkin planter. Use a white pumpkin for that classy fall look or orange for a more whimsical feel.

Final Thoughts
Houseplants are such great decor items because they can be customized in so many ways. It is really easy to add fake pumpkins or leaves to the planter, or tie a festive ribbon around the pot. Just make sure you keep up with the watering schedule and sun needs and your home will be beautifully adorned with unique living decor.
